Three hours later we left the bar (it was a work-night after all). He walked me to my car, and we agreed to catch up again on the weekend. No goodnight kiss – but I didn’t mind the slow beginning. He knew I was an internet-dating-virgin and I think he could sense I was still cautious. He was definitely winning me over.
In the final moments when he asked me if I was glad I had broken my ban on meeting people from the internet – I said “Absolutely.”
Overall Date Rate: 4 Stars
Best Moment: Realising internet dating had real potential – he was smart, cute, funny and didn’t appear to have psychotic stalker tendencies.
Worst Moment: The scary awkwardness of walking into the bar to look for him.
Top dating discovery: A mid week drink is a nice choice for a first date, and a quiet, out-of-the-way pub provides a nice backdrop for plenty of getting-to-know-you-chat.
